Stunning Images by award winning photographer Bob Mumford
Bob Mumford has been intrigued with the natural world from a very early age. Early on he was watching and identifying birds, collecting pollywogs to watch them metamorphose into frogs, and experiencing the serenity of being alone in the woods and fields. He was a strong conservationist and environmentalist before the latter word was coined. He used a primitive Kodak brownie camera to make an out-of-focus image of a Long-eared Owl when he was just 12. He has never lost his enthusiasm for capturing the majesty of nature, first on film and now in pixels. He remains excited by vivid colors, unusual patterns, and curious animal actions that present themselves wherever he travels. This excitement is evident in the engaging images on this site.
