Elephants Sparring, Samburu National Park

Adolescent male elephants like to test their strength and fighting prowess by sparring with others. These two young males fought for nearly a half-hour before breaking off the engagement. Mature bulls fights seriously for the affections of females, often substantially injuring each other.
