Red-tailed Tropicbird

This tropical pelagic bird nests in colonies across the Pacific and Indian Oceans. In Madagascar it nests in small number on Osy Ve island, west of Tulear in the Malagasy Straights. They circle the island up perhaps a hundred feet many times before settling into a thick bush where their nest resides.
