Description

Badlands National Park sports some of the most intriguing and attractive rock formations of any place I have visited in the country. Most tourists come into the park between about 9 and 4, but this is the worst time to photograph. The best photos are made early and late like this one. I was into the park at 6 every day, just as the sun was rising above the horizon.
