Flamingos, Arusha National Park

The Great Rift Valley holds a number of saline lakes where flamingos gather to eat shrimp and other small prey. Both greater and lesser flamingos can be seen in this image. Unfortunately, pollution has caused a great population loss of both species. They used to be able to be seen by the tens of thousands in both Kenya and Tanzania.
