Description

A Great Plains Toad at Buffalo Lake National Wildlife Refuge near the tiny town of Umbarger. There are no Bison on this little known refuge and the lake is mostly dry, its water diverted for agriculture. The spring of 2015 was very wet and more water accumulated in the lake than anytime in twenty years.
