Arctic Fox, Churchill, Manitoba

Arctic foxes are small and often quite tame. They regularly enter villages and show little fear. They are supremely fit to endure the extreme cold of the arctic winter, often following polar bears to scavenge their kills. This fox had found an old goose carcass, probably left by hunters, and apparently got a few good morsels from it.
