An Ibisbill Foraging in the Paro River

One of the quintessential birds of Bhutan, this shorebird is normally found in foraging in rocky rivers like this bird. Like many shorebirds its nest is just a scrape in an open place amongst the rocks. We saw one settling down on its nest in just such a spot, a little too far, however, for a decent photo.
