A Large Assamese Macaques Showing his Teeth

This is the most common monkey species in the country and they roam around in large herds of up to 50 animals. I think this male was the alpha male and he perched perhaps 50 feet from the edge of the road and watched his whole troop cross the road. I think he was just yawning in this photograph, not displaying for other males!
