Snow Geese, Churchill, MB

Multiple species of nutritious berries ripen in late August and early September on the tundra around Churchill. Snow and Canada Geese congregate to gorge on the berries to fuel their flights south in a few weeks. The geese in this image are both the blue and white color phases of Snow Goose and are on alert for danger.
