National Museum of the American Indian

Completed in 2004 at a cost of $199 million, this museum is compelling both outside and in. A small pond was constructed at the east end of the building, and planted with native species that now host a variety of wildlife. Inside, the museum is chock full of artifacts and Native American art that delight the eye.
