Description

As we were approaching the boardwalk area in Magee Marsh, this Common Muskrat crossed the road right in front of us. He calmly began to feed on the side of the road away from the water in a remarkable display of habituation. Usually muskrats are nocturnal and do not stray far from their homes in the water.
